After graduating in Law from Exeter University, Rupert spent ten years as an army officer. This included tours in Belize and Germany, and culminated in active service in First Gulf War. After leaving in 1992, he was formally trained Gateway Foodmarkets, as part of the Isosceles buy out, in operations, supply chain, human resource and financial management.
Rupert has 15 years experience in company management and recovery. He has worked with three family offices, managing investments from a financial and operational perspective in a number of relevant fields. These include luxury goods, property, retail, restaurants, business services and manufacturing. He has extensive experience in infrastructure, service, logistics and brand development gained in both a military and civilian environment.
In addition to operational management, the last four years have concentrated on corporate finance within the distressed and special situations area. This has included deal origination, debt and equity fundraising and all aspects of corporate restructuring.
He joined Partner Capital in January 2007. The combination of operational management and corporate finance expertise is a key strength in Special Situations, now the key focus of Partner Capital private equity activity. Rupert is an active investment manager and is on the board of a number of high-growth private companies.
He is married with two children and lives in London.
